IP, or Ion Plating, refers to vacuum ion plating. A commonly used term is IPG, which stands for vacuum ion gold plating. Vacuum plating for jewelry refers to a method where metal materials are heated under high vacuum conditions, causing them to evaporate and condense on the surface of the metal piece, forming a thin film. In the field of gold plating, 14k, 18k, and 24k only represent the depth of the gold plating color, with higher numbers indicating a more yellow color.
